After City's financial-rule verdict, Haaland asked players, staff and fans to stay together. Maresca also said he trusts the club before the trip to Liverpool.
Haaland said Manchester City must “stick together,” spread positivity and concentrate on winning matches. His comments came in an interview published ahead of Sunday’s match at Liverpool, City’s first fixture since the findings against the club became public.
The Associated Press report also said Maresca expressed trust in City’s ownership and maintained that the players were not distracted by off-field developments. City had started the league season with five wins from five, according to the report.
